expanseElectronics is a small UK outfit. If our work has helped you, you can chip in from the Support page — and you get more back than you give. Supporting is optional and completely separate from buying products.

There are two ways to support:

  • Power the workshop — £5/month. A recurring subscription that unlocks all the supporter perks below.
  • Buy us a soldering iron — £10 one-off. A single contribution, no subscription. A simple thank-you, no ongoing perks.

You need to be signed in to support, so it ties to your account.

Supporter perks (£5/month)#

While your monthly subscription is active you get:

£1.50 store credit / month Builds up each month and is applied automatically against future orders.
20% off code at 3 months A single-use code, valid for 7 days, emailed to you.
Free t-shirt at 6 months A single-use code for a free t-shirt (you just cover postage).

How the 5% discount behaves#

It's automatic while you're subscribed and shows as a "Supporter discount" line at checkout. It does not stack with promotion codes — if you also enter a promo code, whichever discount is larger applies. It stops the moment your subscription ends.

How store credit works#

You earn £1.50 each month you're subscribed. The balance shows on your account's Support tab, and is applied automatically at checkout (you'll see a "Store credit" line reducing your total). Store credit:

  • has no cash value and can't be exchanged for cash;
  • is tied to your account and isn't transferable;
  • isn't refundable;
  • stays usable if you cancel — you just stop earning more.

Milestone rewards#

Reaching a duration of continuous support unlocks a reward, emailed to you and listed on your account's Support tab:

  • 3 months → a single-use 20% off code (valid 7 days).
  • 6 months → a free-t-shirt code (add a t-shirt to your cart and enter it at checkout; you cover postage).

Cancelling resets your progress toward future milestones.

Managing your subscription#

Everything lives under Account → Support:

Want to… How
See your credit balance + months subscribed Account → Support
Change the card used for renewals Account → Support → Change card (pick a saved card; add new ones from the Payment methods tab first)
Cancel Account → Support → Cancel
Resume a cancellation Account → Support → Resume (before the period ends)

Cancelling takes effect at the end of the current paid month — you keep your perks (including the 5% and any earned credit) until then, and we don't bill you again. We don't refund the part-month.

A note on the one-off#

The £10 "soldering iron" contribution is a simple thank-you — it doesn't start a subscription and doesn't include the perks above. It's just a way to chip in without committing to a monthly amount.
